After their lifetime of ministry, Daughters of Charity are laid to their eternal rest in the Sacred Heart Cemetery on the grounds of the Provincial House.

• 05.07.2010: Sister Mary Teresa Doyle (1920 - 2010)
  Sister will be remembered for her good sense of humor and beautiful spirit of gratitude. She was a great teacher and a great friend who really loved living the community life as a Daughter of Charity. When asked if she was ready to go to heaven, she replied “I have lived ready.” Truly, she had.

• 05.07.2010: Sister Teresa Ann Walsh (1926 - 2010)
  Sister Teresa Ann remarked that she enjoyed all the ministry opportunities she experienced, as they provided experiences for her to grow, assist others and make friends. Friendships were very important. Being able to converse warmly and deeply with friends provided a guide which she followed in all her ministries. During her lifetime, Sister enjoyed keeping active with gardening, being known for her tomatoes, time with friends, and praying and reflecting on her faith. Her prayer card read “You’re nearer God’s heart in a garden, than anywhere else on earth.”
